História
Bem, os Alémmar, remontam a meio da década de 90, quando ainda respondiam por Anúbis. Em 1997, assinam pela multinacional MCA e passam a ser a única banda portuguesa a fazer parte do catálogo desta editora. 1998 marca as primeiras edições. Primeiro com o single "Carolina", que rebenta nas rádios e discotecas no início do ano. Em Março é editado o primeiro o primeiro longa duração, com o titúlo homónimo. As baladas "Deixa-me Olhar", e "Já não há mais Baladas" são os singles que se seguem. Mas esta banda não vive só de canções românticas e, os temas "Profeta Messias", "Rua do Bar, "Carolina", "Quinta da Minha Avó", mostram que a banda é versátil. O Segundo álbum, editado em Outubro de 1999 inclui os singles "Ordem Natural", "Olhares Cúmplices", "Império em Chamas", entre outras canções. Entretanto, em Setembro do ano seguinte, após a digressão pelo país, o grupo resolveu hibernar. Razões várias, incluíndo a conclusão de cursos superiores pendentes estiveram na origem do desenlace. E quase sete anos depois, sete anos em que cada um andou a fazer outras coisas, eis que, quando ninguém ACREDITAVA, a banda reuniu-se e traçou objectivos. De novo o nome Alémmar voltou a ter um significado no presente. ACREDITÁMOS que seria possível voltar a tocar juntos, ir para a estrada com a nossa equipa (maravilhosa, diga-se), fazer o que nos agrada, que é tocar, fazer concertos, sentir aquela sensação extraordinária nos momentos antes de subir as escadas do palco, de estarmos à frente de uma plateia e sentirmo-nos bem.
